The Technical Division operates the business in its own right and consists of four operational areas: Street/Park/Harbour, Nyköping Water, Waste Management, and Municipal Properties. In Municipal Properties, we are responsible for local resource planning and local supply for the municipality's operations and for the management of the municipality's property portfolio. We plan and carry out maintenance, operation, as well as new, renovation, and extension of properties for the municipality's operations.

We currently have 51 employees distributed across the units of Management, Operations, Administration, and Planning and Investigation. We manage approximately 344,000 m2 of owned premises and about 100,000 m2 of leased premises.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to work on creating safe and secure environments in the municipality's properties? We are now looking for a solution-oriented and committed Fire Protection Inspector who wants to strengthen our work in fire protection. You will be part of our operations team at Municipal Properties, which currently consists of 22 employees, and you will work alongside two colleagues with fire-related tasks in the municipality's property portfolio.

As a Fire Protection Inspector, you are responsible for ensuring that our properties meet regulatory requirements and that the technical systems function as they should. You will work both operationally and administratively with fire protection, and have an important role in supporting the operations in their systematic fire protection work (SBA).

Your tasks

• Conduct fire inspections in our properties together with the fire service and operations.
• Prepare materials, documentation, and reports, and carry out or order necessary measures.
• Support the operations in their SBA work, including routines, training, and evacuation drills.
• Ensure that the SBA work complies with regulatory requirements and update documentation in the property system Faciliate.
• Handle reports from contractors, order work, and follow up on results.
• Issue permits for Hot Work to contractors.
• Manage ongoing preventive maintenance related to fire protection, such as battery replacements and checking illuminated exit signs.
• Perform quarterly fire tests, sprinkler tests as needed or in absence.
• Update documents, routines, and information in our property system Faciliate.
• Meet the fire service at A-alarm.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Education in systematic fire protection work (SBA).
• Professional experience in fire protection inspections in properties.
• Driver's license B.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Good computer skills.

Meritorious are:

• Knowledge and experience in low-voltage work.
• Experience in systematic fire protection work.
• Experience with and knowledge of Faciliate or similar property systems.
• Experience in systematic work environment management.
• Education in fire technology.
• Experience working with fire alarm centers, fire alarm systems, and preventive fire protection work.
• Conducted evacuation drills.
• Performed maintenance and management in fire alarm systems.
• Worked with MLS.
